Perfect Pitch

"The Roslyns sashayed on stage at Eastern Lounge last Friday night and instantly took the room by storm. At first wearing spectacular costumes with headresses that looked a little like the Statue of Liberty had come to play, Alanna, Ayla and Courtney immediately commanded attention... and then held it throughout two magnificent sets. Backed by a band at least as tight as their dresses, these stunning ladies sang powerfully in perfect three part harmony. What struck me most was how different each individual voice was when listened to in isolation, yet how wonderfully they blended together when in unison. They complemented each other impeccably.

It was seriously a joy to hear the songs our parents used to spin on the family record player from the Jazz and Swing eras, played live. Amazing to   experience 'The Andrews Sisters' on stage, as authentically as it would have sounded in the 1940s. Songs from later decades were also spot on with   costume changes keeping the glamour going as three magnificent voices continued to sparkle.

The reaction from everyone I spoke to in the audience post-show was universally positive. One long-time regular pronounced it "the best Eastern Lounge show ever!", while another (partner of the late great Andrew 'Greedy' Smith of Mental As Anything fame) simply stated: "That wasn't just great music. That was entertainment." Please come back Ladies."

We were lucky enough to have the Roslyns play two sold out Motown shows last month. It was a treat to see a group of musicians on top of their game entertaining a diverse crowd of people who just couldn’t resist the urge to dance. We can’t wait to welcome them back to the venue”

"As a regular booker of this fine ensemble and a huge fan of everything that Lani Cherote has ever produced, I have zero hesitancy in recommending The Roslyns Music for your event. Their aesthetic is gorgeous, their professionalism is unrivalled and their talent is of the highest calibre. You won’t be disappointed."
